Volunteer
Operation Photo Rescue (OPR) is always looking for volunteers to help with digitally
restoring photos, volunteering on location with copy runs, and support by donating or
other means.
All of us have started out as beginners and we welcome all skill levels, but it is only fair
to note that most of our damaged photos take a lot of experience in Photoshop or other
software to do the kind of restoring we required. Having experience in working in layers,
levels/curves adjustment, layer masks and color correction on every photo is just a few of
the skills needed.
All of our photos go through a final Quality Control check point and we are proud of
the finished work of restored photo we send out to be printed. Those that don’t make the
grade, we ask for a rework which is not a judgment call on your skills, but rather what we
expect for quality.
Below is a sample of what to expect from photos we take in and the type of restoration required.
