What a gracious looking woman... I've just started working on this photo.   All things are subject to change, but I started, after the color correction, with the background, chair, and started working on the dress. Did a little on her face, but not much.... Thought I'd just share my starting points.

I agree, beautiful job Candy! Only one thing jumps out for me and that is that the lady seems to "float".  Perhaps you could lighten up the background some and leave the chair dark?

I agree, Hannie.

5:30pm  update: worked on background and grand lady. Dress and hand a WIP

I agree with Hannie's suggestion about the background and removing the sense of floating. The other thing I notice is that you've removed her double chin - I think she'll be equally lovely with it :)

Last night's work before bed. I believe I have the chin and background better. Also, I've continued working on the dress and hand.

Last adjustments made.  I do believe she's ready to go home.

...Just a little different backdrop lighting.  Any preference?

I prefer the first one - if you change the lighting on the background, you'd need to alter the lighting on the back edges of the woman a little as well (as the lighting change is directional, from top right).

I did too, Jo Ann, so I sent her home.  Thanks.
