Hi,

I'm working on my first photo for OPR. I'd love some feedback. I still have to fix some of the noise and ripples that appear throughout the image. I also may need to add some noise to some of the colours painted over top. The blue channel had a lot of the details I used for the restoration.

Isn't great when the blue channel has all those details! At this point you'll need to zoom in and work on small sections at a time, even pixel by pixel, to smooth out the ripples with the healing tool. It's a bit tedious but sometimes there aren't any 'quick fixes.'

Oops, did not see your post Tori!

Hi Jeff, great job so far!
I'm afraid there are no shortcuts for the rest of the clean up.  It is going to be tedious cleaning and healing and even a little painting  :-[

I can tell you what tools I would be using:

-firstly another Levels and Curves to adjust color a little more
-increase Contrast, doesn't matter that some areas get darker (use luminosity mode to protect your colors)
-Dust and Scratches filter used on some areas with a layer mask
-layer in Color mode to touch up the pants and clean up the bricks
-layer to paint out some of those ripples
-some dodging and burning as described in many posts on the forum

Not much help, I know but some of it may be of use to you.
