The Original, upper and progress image lower.  There is virtually no information to be gleaned on the crib, bumper pad and hanging mobile.  Do I crop to the good information and ignore the less important?

Thank You all.

Hannie

Hi Joan,

Congratulations on your first OPR project, you have done some great repairs already!

I understand what you mean about the left side of the photo, we are in the difficult position in that we don't know if the crib has any emotional value to the owner or not.  If it was our own snapshot we could just crop it to take out the damage.  OPR tries to leave in as much of the original detail if at all possible.  What if you darken the left side some with a levels layer and a gradient mask?  In my example you can see what I mean, now a little more of the crib is visible, still not the greatest shot but close to what the original was.

Hope this helps some,

Hannie

Thank you, Hannie.  I will do as you suggest.  There is definitely more info than I could find initially.  Much appreciated.
