Hi all, I've requested this picture and while I'm waiting for it I thought I'd ask if anyone knows what the wooden structure behind the family could be.. is it a bird house do you think? Hopefully link below will work...Thanks in advance.

On more inspection by dh we're thinking it might be like a message board in a park or even have a life preserver on the other side. There seems to be a roof but no floor, and a pole holding in up. Any ideas?

It's odd that there are hinges on the side.

Flying outhouse sounds great!

What about those little visitor book cabinets they used to have in national parks?  It may be that the bottom of the cabinet is raised so it is not visible here.

sounds about rightish.. trouble is.. I don't know what they looked like. I'm gonna have to wing it and make it sort of generic I think. Thanks all for input. :up2:

Looks like a bird house to me as you can see the round cutout hole.

That would explain the hinges - for cleaning it out.
