I've been considering this from Jona's gallery.  Upon closer inspection, I noticed an extra face.
It puzzles me  Undecided

I regret to inform you that the extra face IS part of the photo.  I love it!
The girl is looking around the woman's shoulder.

You may be able to use the red channel to see the face better and to do a little repairing.

Kiska, I first wondered if the face was a genuine part of the original photo, but since there was no other part of her body showing, I wasn't sure.  It almost appears as if it is part of another photo, which was accidentally  adhered by storm moisture --   Thanks for your input.

Thanks for the suggestion, Hannie.

It is a rather odd angle, but maybe that's what endears this photo to the family!

I think it was another picture that was stuck to the one you're working on.

I, too, think the 'extra' face is part of the photo. Note the exact outline of the woman covering her. Hard to envision a transfer that would not cover part of the woman, too. Her (I think it's a her, anway) body may or may not be hidden behind the woman's, or it may or may not be covered up by a transfer from another photo. Or she might be sitting backwards (relative to the other two) on a bench.

Hi Betty,

I just uploaded this one to your gallery, maybe the full-res image will make it easier to see, what's going on Smiley!
If you think, you can't restore this one as it's too difficult, just let me know and I'll put it back in my gallery Smiley!

Thanks,
Jonas

I realize that old mole-eyes has a lot of nerve jumping in with an opinion on this one, but it appears to me that the two women are sitting facing in opposite directions.  The woman in the front is blocking all but the very edge of the front of the shaded woman who's leaning on her shoulder/back.
