Hi Everyone,

Today is Memorial Day, the holiday we set aside to remember those in uniform who sacrificed their lives serving their country. Here is an interesting link on the history and that it probably started after the Civil War, but had many beginnings. The article goes on to say that when Congress made it a 3-day holiday they diminished the meaning  of it. http://www.usmemorialday.org/backgrnd.html

While the Memorial Day is to remember those fallen and flowers are also put on the graves of family members; I can't help but think of all the lives lost in the recent tornadoes.
