Too dark?

This is a WIP but I am wondering if it is too dark? The sticky covers a lot of the right hand side so I am assuming there is nothing underneath. The mans hair is black (there are other photos of him in the gallery) the background is black.

I was going to say to try to lighten up the background so that you can see where one ends and the young man and baby start. Then I saw the tape and with it to be used as reference. I don't think this photo was meant to be restored This isn't from my gallery, so I'm not sure what the other two might be. We will do some checking If the photo is kept, it will need cropping--hope it is not real small.

I remember seeing them in the gallery and I assumed they were supposed to be restored as a package having reference info for eachother.
