Judgement calls needed

Hi, all - need some opinions on this image, specifically the marked areas. Do you think they're real or damage?. My inclination is to call them real (darn it) because they share the border with everything else. On the other hand they are both distractions and might just be garbage. What do you all think?

Lurch, this one should keep you busy!  :funny: I would treat both ends as damage and make the restore to reflect the curtain behind. On your right hand side the curtain is going to be more in the shadows. I think doing curtains is the safer bet.
