I just downloaded this photo today and was going to start on color correction when it dawned on me that this child's shirt is probably yellow and not white. I was just wondering what you think it is. Thanks.

So I think yellow is probably right. To test that out, take a look at the original with what I think are reasonable color corrections, vs. the original, vs. a version where the shirt is forced to white. The rest of the image looks so wrong, I think yellow - pastel and pale - must be the color

Thank you Jo Ann
Yep. We add our vote for yellow. :)
I'm thinking a cream, leading to yellow.
Ok. I agree and yellow it will be. I'll post the correction.
This is the color that occurred after I used the levels adjustment layer on each RGB channel.

color looks good Phil.. I got the same as you on the shirt.. creamy ...
Thanks Lynnya.
Now that I see them side by side like that I have to change my vote ::) Like Margie said, cream leading to yellow.
Phil, what I see when I look at your adjusted levels is a soft yellow. Why? Because the school I attended for high school wore uniforms. Our shirts were a soft yellow. Here's an old yearbook picture of the elementary kids. As you can see, it's pretty close to your adjusted levels.
