You're doing fine, Karen.  Just keep working on it.  I do believe that the black in the left of the corner is damage.  Perhaps you could try and extend the drape/cape in that area.  Welcome to the family!

Neat pic. Nice work so far! You might tone down the hot spots on her face.

Welcome to the Forum Karen, you're doing fine. I agree with Candy and Shadow. It looks like this picture was originally in a frame and what you see in the lower right hand corner is damage which has made it darker than it should be.
