Up and going with this new one... did a partial color correct as there is too much damage to get it really right.. will do more later.. Can anyone help identify which uniform this is... so so many.. do not want to get this one wrong.. I can't ready the badge on his arm..... Candy??

The heart makes it almost too precious to restore! Ther is more detail in the blue channel, but not much detail in the patch on any layer.

Lynn, maybe they can find out if he is with the LA Nat Guard. This is their patch and they are under the US Army.

Thanks Candy... while you were typing I was cropping this part.. a bag of sorts under his arm... not sure what it is.. also another badge/pocket on his right sleeve looking at the screen.. I have the badge on his upper sleeve already naming him LA National Guard... I'm not sure what is around his waist if anything...this is the blue channel...

this is the patch that shadow found for me... the inside looks similar don't you think?? I think he's in somewhere south like Louisiana but I'm only guessing.. trees and southern...

I understand why you think that.  And he may be in the NG in Louisiana.  I'll be curious to know what the answer is.  My brother retired from the Army after 25 years.

Need really good eyes on my dear soldier..

Looks like he's coming along very well. Might add a little more camo under the arm area.   Also take a look at his right boot again.  It's not in the same position as the original.

Shadow, no on the heart. It was nice in one way, but it was damage.

O.k.... redid the background to more Shadows numbers... filled in the camo.. question is... can I get away with this camo or do I need to replace it..comments please...also cleaned up the white patch of sky on the left of the screen but it's not on this version... just caught my eye..

I think he came out great.  It's the person, not the camo, that counts.  :)

Think they will love this pic! Like the way you handled the cammo and his right side. On my screen, there is still that red/yellowish damage in the bkgd. See it?

I know.. I reduced it a lot but to me it feels like the late sun coming through... I'll reduce it more and see what you think y'all..Thanks for input shadow :hug:

and that patch of white on the left was catching my eye every time I looked at him...it's a gonna...

My homeprinter does better with the lighter version, but that's just me.  Not sure how professional printers deal with that.

Just an quick update.  The only information that we were given is the possible unit of our young soldier.  He served in the 527 Engineer Battalion in Louisiana.  Here is a picture of the unit patch and a story of that unit.
