Title: Loss of a Lifetime
Post by: Mhayes on March 15, 2012, 01:39:08 PM
Hi Everyone,

I talked to Kate Arline, our contact person in Hershey, PA today. She said as she was walking around distributing fliers of our upcoming run, there was an older woman in a bare house that had been flooded and when she handed her our flier, she starting crying. She said that she only had 10 photos left of her entire life. Others have had tears when they see our fliers and there are a lot of people dealing with their loss.

Besides Kate, Mike is contacting churches and getting flier to them to post. Matt Jones, OPR press release volunteer, is going to do an interview with WGAL TV and The Patriot-News is doing a story on OPR before our copy run. My hope is that we will have a large turnout and bring some joy back to these people.

Thank you Kate and Matt for getting the word out, hopefully lots of people there will read the fliers and catch the interviews.
It is touching to hear how moved people are when the see our fliers.
