The little loading arrow in the corner of the webpage keeps turning and turning..........
No 'tv' screen pops up like for a Quicktime movie.

it took a while for it to load for me... can you tell if anything is actually being downloaded or not (e.g. lights blinking on your modem)?

I got the link okay, but when I sent it on to a friend of mine to view she couldn't. She wrote back saying that she didn't have Window's Media Player, so it wouldn't work. I wonder if that could be the problem.

Margie, I downloaded the Media Player just for this movie. "Successful Install". When I click the video link it sends me to this: http://upload.pbase.com/image/84439190

That's a bummer! I have no idea why it doesn't work now. This is probably a really dumb suggestion, but if you rebooted your computer, would that help? I know sometimes when you install a new program you have to reboot. You would think the news media would have version that would be user friendly to both platforms. Or better yet, stick with the QuickTime Movie as it works well with both Mac and Windows.

It must be very frustrating not being able to watch the video. I am running Firefox on a Windows XP platform. I got a screenful of troubleshooting tips to get the video player to work properly. Without doing any of those, another window popped up and played the video.
Watching the video makes me wish I were there.
At home here, a week of pouring rain finally moved east. The flood in Wisconsin is flowing south into Illinois. Many areas lost power from the storm and falling trees that compounded the problem. It makes you respect the power of the nature.
