Tomorrow, Christine, Mike and I will be meeting up with 8 other volunteers (including everyone's favorite most prolific post writer - Glenna) at the New Orleans airport in anticipation of our Biloxi copy run.

We've got high hopes for this trip so hopefully there will be a great turnout. Look to the forums and the blog for daily updates.

Wish us luck.

Safe travels and I'm hoping you get the chance to do some sort of photoessay of the weekend's events.

Good luck and safe travels!  Really looking forward to hearing what people have to say this time around.

Hi my wonderful OPR pals!

Thanks for all the good wishes.  I think it's going to be a great run.  I expect to work my tush off -- at least I hope to.  That's what it's all about!

I'm going to try to keep a journal.  Since I'll be with a group of photographers, they can be the visual historians!  I'm the wordmeister, so I'll try write my impressions.  I'm looking forward to an incredible 5 days.  News at 11!

Hugs,

Glenna

P.S. My husband is bereft that he can't come.  Love that man!  Unfortunately his work deadline can't be put aside.  Mine can.  He swears he'll be at the next one.

Guys.... I love it!
have a great trip! I wish I could go too, as I told Christine already...I'm so jealous. Maybe next time. Glenna, I'm counting on you for a detailed report on all the events. And everybody take notes from the owners of the pictures, like is it a dog or a cat sitting next to Huh? and is she holding a melon? You say it's not a melon, it's a baby? OK, you all know the trill Roll Eyes

Good luck everyone,

Hope you guys have a fun and safe trip and a chance to enjoy some good seafood. I love GP's comment about whether it is a melon or baby. After seeing some of the difficult pictures, that seems a real possibility.

Margie,
mentioning of the "melon" refers to a post by Videosean a while back, you probably are too new to know about it: http://www.oprworkshop.org/forum/index.php?topic=528.msg4408#msg4408.
It was kind of funny and it got stuck in my head!  Grin (no offense Videosean  Azn)

GP,
Thanks for the link because I didn't know what it was referring too. How funny! The fact that Dave and Videosean were torn between baby and watermelon might have given the picture a different outcome. Imagine the couples surprise when they opened up the "new and improved" picture! Too Funny
