Dave

I had to laugh at this and wanted to share it with you.  I went to your blog to catch up, and noted the last installation was about your interview with Sen. Bradley.  When I got to the end of the blog I saw that it said "from UNDER the desk of Dave Ellis".  At first I thought it was just a joke, but all your entries say the same thing.  Now I'm really concerned about you!

Am still hoping to hear the interview this evening. If I miss it again, I hope someone will be able to get it on the forum.

You're the best!

Yea I was hoping I could just listen in any ol' time, but nope. As for the other, suppose from under the desk would be safer.

I do most of my best thinking under the desk. It's where I keep the liqour. But, I should probably have that changed.

Hi Dave

Even though I know you're kidding, your comments remind me of my son, whose favorite place to contemplate and read when he was a kid was under the couch.  We had a serious discussion once about what we wanted done with our remains once we died, because I lost my brother at a very young age, and I'd told my son that we'd scattered Jim's ashes on an overlook in Maine, which was his favorite place to think and be peaceful.  So Kevin decided that when his time came, he wanted to be scattered under the couch.  (Yechhh!)

But it gets better (and this is the kind of thing you can look forward to with Jack) -- I was racing sailboats at the time, so I told Kevin that I'd want my ashes scattered on the water.  His take on that was that since it was close, a good place would be the cats' water dish.  (double Yechhh!)

I finally heard your interview with Sen. Bradley.  It was awesome.  Some of your remarks were of things I didn't know and enjoyed learning about.  Hearing you speak brought home what a huge heart you have.  I know you're modest, and I gather a bit shy, but I have to tell you that you're one of my all-time heroes!

Like it or not, hugs!
