All,

I posted a group of images to a gallery called Dave's OPR and they are available for restoration. Please only offer to take one if are not currently working on a restoration. Also, I'm only going to distribute one image per volunteer.

These images run the gamut from very easy to very hard.

Good luck with them.

I would also add that this is just the tip of a very large iceberg headed our way. We still have two subsequent trips worth of damaged originals waiting for distribution.

These were posted now because they are some re-do's from our very first trip and we really need to get them completed.

There is one photo remaining in that gallery that I posted almost two weeks ago. I would classify it as medium difficulty. If you have the skills and the time please take a stab at it.

thanks.

Dave, I just downloaded the 'high rez' of RITOPR14. As you can see, it will just be a 2x3 at 300.. I think it was the thumbnail. Do you have a larger one or do I request another image?

Dave.....DASHING Dave! Oh, you handsome devil.

I have been downloading RITOPR14 daily now for 2 weeks. It is still a small version, only 409 kb. It's supposed to be a 5x7.I have done nothing with it. What do you want me to do?

Kiska,

Yup, I missed the last post. I have had no problem downloading the image and getting the correct size. At this point, I don't know what to tell you. Are you deleting all previous versions of the download before re-downloading? I wonder if you keep opening the same file.

Just tried to download again. No copies on my desktop. Still 409 kb. Do you want someone else to have it? That would be fine. How big is it supposed to be?

Kiska, what browser are you using? It sounds like a cache problem. Clear your browser's cache and try it again. If you need help clearing your cache, post again with your browser type and I'll tell you how to do it.

I'm using Firefox. Checked "help' and it said the cache automatically clears. The Firefox prefs wouldn't open. Just tried to download with Safari; same small file. Dunno. I'm wondering if Dave inadvertently uploaded the thumbnail as my hi rez invite. Dunno. Thanks.

Kiska, for Firefox go to Tools, then options.

Click the Privacy icon and look at the bottom where it says private data. If the box to clear data when Firefox closes isn't checked, look to the right and click the button that says Clear now. This should clear your cache.

Mystery solved! I'm half bonehead so I'm genetically inclined to not know what I'm talking about half of the time. The photo that you are downloading is actually that size.

The image belongs to a co-worker of mine. He's originally from New Orleans and much of his family still lives there. The "RIT" group of photos are from what's left of his parents' photo albums. The image that Kiska is attempting to work on is basically a wallet-size photo.

Craig, my co-worker, has the original in his office. I can rescan it at a larger size if that will help you. It's an important photo. I just found out that it's of Craig's brother who is no longer living.

Dave, darlin'! I knew you'd figure it out. I will work on this small, about 2x3, then. Just hadn't ever gotten one that little.
I've got a couple of Christine's about half done then I'll get to yours.

I KNEW A LITTLE SWEET TALK WOULD WORK!   Wink

Kenny, thanks for the help. I checked my 'privates', and all the appropriate boxes were checked. I think we are all on the same page now.
