I received a email advising me that my account has been activated manually by the admin and that I could now login and post.

What do I do next in order to start downloading pictures to work on?

How do I now who's group I am in?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello Sharon. The first initial of your last name determines which group you're in.

Mike Morones has: A-B and N-Z.

Becky Sell has: C-M

Kiska:

Thanks.

Can you tell me how I can get access to the photo gallery to download images to work on?

Step 2: Go to Photoshelter.com  and register. Here's the link to the OPR galleries :  http://www.photoshelter.com/gallery-list?O_ID=O0000t1CBM0L6usY

There are only a few images left on this round. The ones that are left are ones that we've all passed on since the beginning of the round. I encourage you to try one if you wish. If not, the next round of images will be coming when these last few are finished.

Welcome to OPR  Thumbs up

Welcome to OPR Sharon...

I see Kiska and Kenny have left you the info you require...

At present, there isn't a whole lot of images..  The admins' are waiting for the last of the last bunch to be finished before putting more photos up... Right now, they are all difficult images.  In my humble opinion, very difficult...  tehe

I believe the administrators will have to get you set up at Photoshelter to be able to request which photos you'd like to try restoring.. Maybe they have already, I'm not sure.. But if they have, you should have received that info in your email from them...

Again, welcome to the group..  Thumbs up

Oopps!!!

I just came across this Sharon... The part about the administrators setting you up is wrong, see below...

Create a username and password at www.photoshelter.com for your Login.  Please create this using the same e-mail address with which you correspond with Operation Photo Rescue itself, otherwise you will not be recognized for the full-access you need.  IF when you create your account you are told that you already have one, it is because we have inputted your information into our accessing system first.  All you have to do is click "Forgot My Password" and you will be e-mailed a link to create a new one for yourself.  You are now signed up with Photoshelter and ready to get some photos!

• To get to the galleries, go to www.photoshelter.com/c/opr

• Browse folders labeled "Becky" or "Mike depending on your group.  They will be listed as Easy, Moderate or Difficult.  Please don't take photos from galleries that are labeled for a different group for organizational reasons. (2,000 photos and 800 volunteers are a lot to keep track of).  This may change in future rounds... just done this way for now.

• LOG IN and leave a comment on a picture that you would like to work on... you must be logged in to be able to do this or you won't even be able to see the option.  A comment like "I'll take this one" is fine.

• Once this is done, we'll notify you when you are authorized to download the photo (it will be put in a gallery just for you).  This part means we have to respond, which depends on when we're in front of our computers.   We work hard at keeping up with this quickly, but ask that you please be patient as it all is dependent on being out of town, work, etc.  May take half an hour, may take a day.

• Then download the hi-res version of the photo once you get to your gallery.

• When finished, upload your image, and request another!
