Hi everybody, my name's Becky and I'm a web design student from Wisconsin. I wanted to get involved with OPR after doing some photo restoration projects in a course. Photography has been a hobby of mine for the past 6 years, so I'm excited to help out and improve my skills at the same time. Thanks for having me!

Welcome Becky!

I'm sure you'll enjoy sharing your skills with OPR. Along with some unique restoration challenges you'll have the satisfaction of helping folks who have lost so much. Have fun and don't be afraid to ask questions!

Hi Becky and welcome to OPR.  We currently have photos in our galleries from the EF5 tornado that devastated much of Joplin, Mo. last May.   It’s so good to have you join us in our restoration efforts!

Welcome to OPR Becky,

Sounds like you will fit right in with your talents.  It is very satisfying restoring photos that you know will be cherished for a long time.

Hi Becky

A very warm welcome from Florida. This is definitely the place to hone your skills and meet some awesome and talented people.  We spend a lot of time helping each other with our restorations, so even though the learning curve can be steep, we climb it together.  I think you'll enjoy our rather unconventional group.  I'm so glad you've joined us. I'll look for you on the forum.

Happy Holidays

Hi Becky,

Welcome from Kansas and we are delighted to have you. Seeing that you were from Wisconsin I wondered if you took classes at UW-Stevens Point with Katie Miller (now Katie Stern). I see from your sign up sheet that you did have her as an professor. Congratulations as she is a wonderful teacher and a super person to work with. We were lucky to have her on on copy run to Cedar Rapids. I don't know if you have had a chance to look at some of the older blogs, but here is the one about your professor:
http://www.operationphotorescue.org/2009/12/uw-stevens-point-and-operation-photo-rescue/

If you have a chance, could you have Katie contact me at: mhayes@operationphotorescue.org Since she married and last name has changed, I don't have her current email address.

Hope we see more of you on the forum.

Margie

*Footnote: I have Katie's new email address.

Welcome Becky to OPR and Merry Christmas from southwest Ohio. You will definitely have more than enough opportunity to hone yours skills. Even the easy ones can give you the slip. With the help of the crew on the forum it all gets done looking great.
