I just finished two courses in Photoshop CS5 and watched Janine Smith's Photo Restoration on Lynda.com (a great tutorial) and realize that I have just scratched the surface....but I need to practice so here I am!

Hi Tim, and welcome to OPR!  We really appreciate your joining in our restoration efforts and look forward to seeing more of you on the Forum.

If you can, take some time to review a few past posts.  You’ll notice that this is a wonderful learning environment as well as a fun place to interact with your fellow volunteers.  When you run into difficulties with a restoration, just post a copy of the original along with your WIP, and you’ll get lots of tips and friendly advice.  Not only will you greatly increase your skills, but the work is tremendously rewarding.

Welcome to OPR Tim from southwest Ohio. You will get the practice here. Download the Official OPR Handbook at the left if you haven't done that already. It has a lot of tips in it for selecting photos, how to download photos, upload photos, and other helpful things. You have to be logged in to access the book.

Hi Time, welcome from Kansas. I can't think of a better place to practice what you have learned than here. Hope to see more of you on the forum.
