Hi Mike,

Great repair on the cap!
Maybe it is a good idea to check the monochrome box on a Channel Mixer adjustment layer?
Also I wonder if it is possible to lighten up some the right side of the photo?

Good day Hannie,

I used both suggestions.  Let me know if this works?

Thank you,

Mike

Mike, I think they both look great, but will let Hannie call it.

Hi Mike,

I thought the monochrome tip would take care of the right side of the photo but it only transferred the problem to B/W!  Smiley

Your colored version looks fine except for the right side, IMO it is a little too dark and saturated?
Maybe if it matches the left side more?
(I probably overdid it on this one, I could have lowered the opacity of the layer some...)

His shirt seemed wet (or darker) above the pockets.  I have been pondering whether that was original or damage.

Good day everyone,

Since I am getting several comments I thought I would give you a couple more versions to decide on.  Let me know if one of these works.

Thank you,

Mike

Hi Mike, a little late but I also like #4 the best, the shirt looks "cleaner" and the contrast is better.

 Thumbs Up v.2

Thanks Hannie,

Never too late.  I value your input.  As an example, Pat told me you always look/work on things at 300% so I have adopted the same.
