Good day everyone,

The flu season is starting for us in the northern hemisphere.  Pat and I get our flu shots every year for at least the last 15 years and have not had the flu in ALL THAT TIME.  We got our flu shots this week to be sure we are covered.  I recommend everyone get them.  I would like to hope that all OPR Volunteers get them and stay healthy over this fall and winter.

Thanks,

Yes, Mike. I'm a flu shot girl myself. The first year I worked at a magazine in Washington, D.C., we all had the flu on a holiday deadline and just kept passing it around because we all were working sick all winter. The next fall, our publisher brought in a nurse to give flu shots to everyone at company expense. No flu that winter. I've gotten the shot every year since. When I worked at Stanford, the university provided flu shots for all employees who wanted them. I know some people are wary of them, but they've worked for me for 20 years.
