Hi! My name is Meghan, and I'm from Miami, OK, just 25 miles away from Joplin.  I've been looking for a way to volunteer there in a meaningful way, and heard about OPR on facebook.  I'm an archivist and museum curator for one of the local Indian tribes, and do a little bit of photo restoration in my work.  I've taken a training in Photoshop, but I'm still a little intimidated by the lingo and methods.  I hope to hone my skills as to be helpful here!

Hi MDorey,

Great to have you join and being only being 25 miles from Joplin, perhaps you will be able to help us on the copy run sometime in September. What a very interesting job you have! I know how easy it is to be intimidated at first, but start with easy photos and work your way up. Plus, if you get stuck, post to the forum and we will help you.

Hope to see you on the Joplin copy run.

Welcome Mdorey to OPR!

There are plenty of beginners here as well as experts you can count on for advice when you run into questions with your restorations.  Thank you for deciding to join us in our efforts and I’m looking forward to meeting you on the Joplin copy run.

Hope to see more of you in the forum.
