Hoping you have a wondeful Birthday mate. I really hope your yard is nice and dry now and no more trees to chop down.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes, and yes I had a good day, spent it quietly as befits one of my age. Too Funny

Tess, the yard is now dry, but would you believe I have only just finished cleaning up the last of the flood debris and repairing the fences. The next job on the list is my bridge.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The flood undercut the abutment on the left hand side and it has sunk more than a foot from where it is in this photo, so I have a job in front stabilizing the bank and jacking up the bridge,
oh well! Keep me of the street and chasing girls. Grin

Hope to get back and start doing a bit more restoration soon, probably won't be till spring, at present the room with my computer is so damn cold you just can't sit there and work, here we are 14 Km from the largest power station in Queensland and soon to be the site of the largest Solar Power station in the world and we can't afford the electricity to keep warm.

About 5 years ago they "Privatised" the electricity industry claiming it would result in lower costs, all it has done since is become more expensive, they have just approved another 6.5% increase in charges.

All right so I'm bitching, well I think I can qualify as "A grumpy old man" by right of years. Evil

Thanks again, will try and get back a bit more often in future.
