Ok, I'd love some feedback on some of the decisions I've made with this one. I need to work on the shadows/shading a little more, but before I move on, I'm wondering...

I cropped this a bit from the original, cool?
Also, I'm having a hard time with any of the detail. Guessing on the baby's hairline and I'm also guessing that the baby is wrapped in a blanket. Opinions?
And last, sepia toned or b/w?

Thanks a bunch ;-)

Hi Megin,

You sure picked a tough one. I like what you've done. As to whether or not to crop, one of the distribution coordinators will decide. As to the sepia toning, it's better to leave it as a b/w version and let Quality Control do that adjustment. That way, in case the family has more than one photo that need to be adjusted the toning will be consistent.

It's hard to tell what's going on with the hair on top, but I think it would look better cleaned up. That blob on top of the head looks more like damage to me rather than shadow (I could be wrong) so I would probably round off the head. Maybe someone else has a better solution.

I agree with Tori.

Only one thing I would probably do different, is the blanket. It looks to me like there is a lighter shade of something on the bottom, like maybe the pillow.

But overall it looks terrific, great job on this tough one.
