The methods I have tried to reduce the Chroma and luminance "noise" from the white mould on this image have all resulted in a loss of texture/detail and an artificial look.

In this version I have tidied up the people, still more to do but left the background largely as it was.

Is this a reasonable approach given that it is a 5x4 print?

Suggestions always appreciated

Hi Athol,

Very beautiful restore!
Perhaps you can add some noise to left and lower part that were repainted so it matches the noise in the rest of the photo?
Tone down the brightness of the TV screen some?
