The ice on the Mississippi river is breaking up fast! So fast that it's slammed into our local bridge and the Sheriff has closed the bridge due to fears of flooding and bridge damage. Not to worry, we live 4 blocks away (also downstream from the ice jam).

The ice is threatening some townhouses.

Tori, thanks for sharing. Being 4 blocks away does seem near far enough! It really looks bad for Minnesota, Iowa, and North Dakota. Plus, the east coast is getting hammered and we are not yet into spring. Hannie and Tess are both having bad weather, so you wonder what is in store for us. Keep us posted and we maybe doing a rescue like the one in Austell, GA where local OPR volunteers were able to do a photo rescue.
