Hi, so far I've done nothing with this photo. Notice that the shadows behind the wedding cake are distinct and that there must be a wall behind the cake. Also the flash was taken from the photographers right side. My concern is a half shadow on the right side of the photo. Is this a shadow or some kind or an artifact.

Is this a shadow or some kind or an artifact. Hi Phil: It looks like the left rear corner of a table/tablecloth tight against the wall. If it were an artifact, it seems as though the cake and candle in front of it would be less distinct.

I agree with Terry. It's a table with cloth. If the cake were jammed against the wall, the shadows would be smaller and sharper.

I'm with all of you that it's an object that should be there, but it seems at an odd angle to be a table. Could it be a package resting at an angle on a table and leaning against the wall? I'm not sure, because there appears to be a draping effect at the lower left of whatever it is, and that would belie a package. Or maybe it's a package on a table? Where's the shadow? Where should it be? Maybe I'll go get ready for work. Good luck, Phil!

While it looks to me like a blanket draped over the back of a chair, a table makes more sense. Are there any reference photos with another view?

Just wondering about this. This is the very top of the main wedding cake. It looks like a ring and the question is are there flowers wrapped around the top of the ring or is all of this stuff on the top an artifact?

Phil it definitely looks like a twist of flowers on the top. Here's the blue channel.

Plus the shadow shows there's SOMETHING up there. Dunno what.
