Hi

I'm Paul a web developer based in the UK who likes working with other people's photos - done a bit of retouching/restoration for clients and family but not sure where my skills are at.

Looking forward to some challenges but starting off with the easy ones!

Cheers

Hi Paul

Welcome to OPR from Florida!

Smart guy to get your feet wet with something relatively easy.  The difficult ones are sometimes nearly impossible, and you don't want to get discouraged.  If you've done restorations professionally, you'll be biting at the bit for some of the more challenging ones soon enough.

I've been part of OPR since the beginning, and I don't have the words to tell you what an incredible experience it's been - both working on the restorations and learning more and more about Photoshop and the incredible things it'll do.

There's a group of somewhat "chatty" OPRsters who love to jump in and help with a project that's become overwhelming, that has unidentifiable spotted objects, or just to lend critique when it's requested.  I don't think you'll find a more generous or knowledgeable bunch.

I hope you've had a chance to look through the forum and the galleries to get a feel for who we are. I'm glad you've joined us! Don't hesitate to post if you have a challenge or a question.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Welcome from Kansas. I think you will find this a fun place to be and if you come to a problem, post to the forum and you will get some really good tips.

Welcome Paul from Ohio. Glenna gave some good advice, and even when a photo looks easy there may be a twist in it that stumps you. I have had a few of those. That is when you post and ask for help, or even post to show progress. The eagles who fly in this group are pretty good at offering suggestions to help make the restore even better. Sometimes when you work on a photo you get so involved that you may over look some things. That is when the eagles can help.

You will also notice that while we are serious about the work we have fun doing it. Feel free to jump in at any time.
