Hi guys and gals

I read somewhere in this forum that it is permissible to post the photos we restored on our blogs and websites but to remove the metadata information from the file, so as to protect the owner of the photo.

How do you do this from within Photoshop CS3 not bridge?

Rob, This is the way I do:
- Open the jpg file in CS3
- Hit control-A (PC) to select the whole image
- Hit control-C to copy the image
- File>New... then OK to open a new file
- Hit control-V to paste the image onto the new file
- Save the new file; It will have no metadata at all

I do it slightly differently from Shujen's approach. In CS3 and CS4, I use File>Save for Web and Devices. There I can re-size a photo (usually to 800 pixels on the longest side) and optimize it to fit a given output file size. Save for Web in CS3 automatically removes metadata. In CS4 you have an option box that you can select to include the metadata in the output file.
