Great job on the top one!  But for the little boys might I suggest a gradient background to give better depth?  That flat brown just looks a bit, well, flat.

Even adding some noise and blur to the background to break it up a bit might help.

i agree with Tofu about the background on the photo of the two boys. it just doesn't look all that real.
here's just a couple other things i noticed (probably nit-picky, but oh well):
• the right ear of the older boy looks a little too angular at it's top.
• the hair above that ear came down further in the original photo.
• it's tough to tell, but i think i still see a faint line above the younger boy's left ear (in the hair).
• the  younger boy's hair looks fairly hazy and there a a few faint spots (particularly above his right eye)

it's all hard to really tell at the size it is on here, but it may be more drastic at a higher res.

Thank you guys for the comments. I didn't do anything to the background because it seemed like the original was just plain too, but you are right. It probably would have looked better if I had. Thanks for your comments.
