SOS
« on: December 27, 2008, 02:15:42 PM »

Hi Everyone,

I'm sending out this SOS for 4 photos that I hve added to my gallery with the tag FloresGibbsT. These 4 sailor photos were damaged by Hurricane Katrina. While they were done outside of our regular copy run; they were uploaded back to us by another individual. Unfortunately, they got lost in the shuffle. When we heard from the family, we needed a way to get these photos copied again and back to us.

Dave put out a call for help for an OPR volunteer that would live close enough to do a mini copy run. Robert Grenhalge, with Printing Etc. in Metairie, LA offered to scan in these photos. He not only scanned them in at a high resolution, but uploaded them to us in PhotoShelter. We owe a big thank you to Robert!

Two of the photos--01a, 01b--go together for a pano measuring 11 x 14. I need someone who is good at doing a pano for this one. The other 3 photos measure 8 x 10.

These photo need to be restored and returned as quickly as possible! Thanks in advance!

Hi Margie -

I'll take a crack at your pano; have already tagged them in your gallery.

Thanks for the great response! Right now there is only one photo left and it is a black and white of what looks like sailors standing on a submarine.

I'll take that one too, if no one else does.

Thanks,

Hmmmmm, wonder if I put an SOS on all my photos if I could clear them all out that fast.  Azn

I'd like to take this opportunity to publicly compliment Miss Margie on her most excellent use of mold and mildew in the the photo she foisted on me.  The coverage is even and tasteful and generously spread throughout the picture  Grin  Well done, Margie!
