We recently have been experiencing issues with our volunteers hosting OPR restorations on SmugMug galleries. The issue at hand is that SmugMug includes the ability to purchase each image in a gallery and that violates the trust that exists between OPR and it's clients. Even if the intention of the volunteer is not to make money off an OPR image, the impression is made by the fact that there is a shopping cart icon next to the image when it is enlarged in the gallery.

So, I would ask that any volunteer who may be hosting OPR images on SmugMug galleries to make sure that any "purchase or buy" functions are turned off. Shopping cart icons should not appear next to any OPR related images.

This is solely an effort to protect our clients,  OPR and it's mission. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
