Before uploading photos make sure you use the 'save for web' option on a copy of your photo in Photoshop to remove the personal details/exif data from the photo.

To get your image on the forum you first need to check, if using photobucket, that your  account is set to public. Check by clicking on your album and seeing if you have an unlocked icon as shown.

If it shows a locked icon simply click the lock and change the setting to public in the pop up box that appears.

When you have uploaded a photo you need to left click on the 4th link down as shown and right click/paste it into your reply. Your photo should show up as a line starting with [ IMG] in your post. When you preview or post you will then see the image.

For Flickr
Upload your photo. Once it is there click on it til you see this screen. Click on the all sizes button.

You will then see this screen below your photo. Click on the 'grab the photo's url', copy it.

Then click on the insert image button underneath the italics button here on the forum.

Be aware that under the Flickr guidelines you must place a link back to their site if you use them. The first option you see in their links section does not work here so its easier to just put a link back to each photo by copying and pasting the url from your address bar.

For Imageshack

Upload your photo. Once you see it there you will see a 'share it button' as shown below. Click it.

This next screen will pop up. Click and copy the one shown then paste it into your thread or reply.

FOR PBASE IMAGE HOSTING

If you copy the address of your photo on Pbase in the address bar and then click on the insert image button underneath the italics button here on the forum and paste the address in between the [ img] [ /img]. Note you have to add .jpg to each address

You should get the photos in here.

I now have the photo in photobucket and ImageShack.  Unfortunately, the directions given don't match what is on my screens. I can't figure out what to do next.  Undecided   ~ Sandi

Hi Sandi, this is for photobucket. When you run your mouse over each photo in there you will see a box pop up below the image. I've highlighted the one you click to copy the image. Once you have done that smply right click in the post here and choose paste. It will the paste the image in so you will see img in brackets with the name of your photo and then /img in brackets at the end.
