Dear Christine,
   I received the beautifully restored picture of my mother in her wedding dress the day after Mother's Day.  (Our mail is still not "up to par" even three years after the storm).
I know you probably wanted us to receive it in time for Mother's Day..........
  You really did a wonderful job and I truly appreciate it.  My mom  and dad (both 89 years old) are doing amazingly well after having lost everything they owned, most importantly their home and their independence.  You have brought joy to all of our hearts.  Blessings to everyone at Operation Photo Rescue.  You are truly angels to all of us who have lost so much.   Jan

Thanks so much for posting this beautiful note! What a wonderful gift for them after loosing so much. It's like after a certain amount of time the spotlight shifts away from that devastated area as if things have returned to normal, but it's not and won't be for a long time. Sometimes after struggling hard on some difficult photos, it's easy to loose sight of how much our efforts mean to those who have lost everything. Thanks Jan, you made my day!

Hi Dave

Thanks for another reason to start the day with a smile! Imagine losing everything at 80-plus years old.  It's incredible that we're able to give some joy to these wonderful people and that they take the time to express their appreciation for what we do.  The trip to Biloxi (hard to believe it was nearly a year ago!) and these thank yous give me hope for our species.
