I couldn't resist him making the most of his small pool. And it didn't look like a particularly hot day.

The image with him bending over took me 45 layers, the most so far and while I am not really satisfied with some of the color the more I fiddle with it, the worse it seems to be getting.

Comments please

Cheers

Hi Athol

Nice job on this little guy!  The only thing that caught my eye was his hair in the photo where he's facing down.  I'd take out a little of the really bright yellow and just wisp out a few strands of hair where the outline's sharply defined.  I've found that the smudge tool set at about 50% opacity and 1-2px works very well for that type of touch-up.

Kudos & hugs

Thanks for the comments

I did as you suggested Glenna and it looks much better

By the way, here a pot that size is for mud crabs. I have a son in Darwin and was up there a couple of months ago. Part of the catch follows, they need to be tied up as they are quite capable of taking off a finger or toe

But they do taste great

Mmmm, muddies! I love em!
Your photos came up really well Athol. my only suggestion would be to soften the edge of the little guys hair in the first pic so it isn't so sharp against the verandah railing.

Hi Athol,

I'm adding my 2 cents worth to the mix of comments. Why don't you steal some hair from the second photo and put it on the one with the harsh edges? I think it would be an exact match.

You sound like a local Vicki.

I had tried transplanting hair between the images Mary but couldn't get it to look right so softened the hair and reduced the yellow where the image is blown out before I returned them.

Thanks for the input

Cheers
