Ok, so Angela and I can't come to a consensus on what to name our new son who is due mid-January. Here's your chance to offer your opinion. Keep in mind a few things:

1. Results are non-binding. We maintain the right to name the boy Moon Unit Zappa at the very last moment.

2. Constantine is guaranteed at least the middle name spot in honor of one of Angela's grandfathers.

3. Those who vote for my favorite name will gain great favor from me.

Let the shenanigans begin!!!

A couple of other notes:

The names are listed in no particular order.

While one name is an Angela pick, the next name on the list is a Dave pick.

Who's pick I started with will remain a secret. Did I start the list with an Angela pick or my own? Such a mystery.

I would like to add, that with each name also comes the shortened versions...For instance, Constantine can be Dean or Costas.

Originally I also wanted Gus on that list (that is what we actually called my grandfather) but then it occurred to me that my children would be Jack and Gus--the mice from Cinderella...I can't do that to them...

Thanks for voting!

Hi Dave & Angie.

Good luck with the naming process, the important thing to remember, is what the name is going to sound like in a few years, when you are shouting it over the whole neighbourhood from the back porch trying to get him home for dinner....

Good luck to you two Smiley  We compromised on ours.  Himself named his son and I named his sister.  I've submitted my vote and please consider losing"Seeger" unless you want the poor child called "Cigar" by all the other nasty brats at school.

Dave and Angela:

You two certainly chose some interesting names!  Many sound eastern European.  Is that your heritage?

I hope you don't do what I did – I named my son Kevin, because back when he was born it was an unusual name. I didn't want him to have the same name as most of his contemporaries and I wanted to honor his royal Italian heritage, so his full name is Kevin Sean McConaghy.  Now there are Kevins everywhere, including 3 in our family.  So we have Big Kevin, K.K. and Uncle Chooch (Kevin Sean, who gave up and named  himself something REALLY unusual).

Thanks for giving us a chance to be part of the excitement, even if you end up calling him Ed!

Hugs to all 4 of you.

How exciting!   I love it!

I have to smile though-- four of your names made our top list for our first son, so I was already biased when I cast my vote!

Well, I don't see any names beginning, middle or ending with "O", "P" or "R".  What happened to Rosell?  (Inside joke).   Lips Sealed

Hi Angela and John,

You've picked some nice names!  I was going to name my son Johan David but as it turned out I had 3 girls so I named them Elka, Anita and Irene!

First of all, no one has picked my favorite name yet. Angela's going to think she won. Angela's family is straight up Greek. So that's why some of the names have a European flavor.

As far as my heritage goes, I'm a mutt.

Not sure if you're a golfing family or not, but like the Cinderella considerations, don't forget about the possibility of having your boys being asked if they are golfers a la Jack Nicklaus.

Now Seegar is a unique name... what's the story behind that one?

SEEGAR.............I was thinking Bob SeegER, but not spelled the same. I voted for and know a Cooper. Pronounced like book-er NOT chicken coop-er.
